The Portsea Camp

Management

The Camp was originally part-funded by the City of Melbourne, but has operated independently since 1995. It is a registered charity and non-profit organisation, managed by an independent Board of Directors with representation from Rotary International.

Board members have a diverse range of skills and experience, four having been involved with the camp for over 20 years. Some have come through service clubs such as Rotary and Apex, and until very recently the Victorian Scouts Association and RSL. Many children’s camp volunteers have also extended their involvement and taken up positions on the Board. We now have expertise in project management and property, teaching, policing, politics, small business, and financial management.

Mr Mark Betts is the camp’s President.
