CEO APPOINTMENT

The Board of the Portsea Camp is pleased to announce that it has appointed Ms Sandra Martin to the role of CEO.

Sandra will commence duties from the 23rd of February and will work with our existing dedicated staff and volunteers to ensure that the Camp delivers its mission for the children of Victoria.  Sandra has had a long career in the child and youth services sector and will bring much experience to the role.

Sandra’s appointment follows the Boards search for a new CEO after the retirement of past CEO – Stephen Eastop who managed the Camp’s work over the past 23 years.  We wish Stephen and his partner Sabra all the very best in their retirement.

We also thank Di De Corrado who has taken on the Acting CEO role this past 6 months; who with the dedicated staff team and volunteers have kept the Camp going and have just completed another successful summer season of our Make a Difference (MAD) Camps.  Almost 1000 children from across the State have enjoyed a week over three Camps – creating lasting memories and unforgettable experiences.

Sandra will work with the Board to refine and implement a Strategic Plan developed over the last 6 months designed to reinvigorate the Camps operations and focus on growth and vitality.  We look forward to the opportunities to work with all our friends and supporters to create the very best Camp experience for many young members of our community – particularly those that have challenges that life sometimes imposes.
